Questionwhat dryer cord supports this dryer, 3 or 4 prong

- Answer The dryer itself supports both types of cords, with the cord to be used dependent upon the house. The three prong cord installs on to to just the terminal block, the four prong also requires you to ground the cord using the green screw and putting the grounding wire on the center post.

QuestionWhy is there sometimes a funky smell coming from my dryer?I replaced an older set with this one about two months ago and so far I am very pleased. I just have one concern though. Every so often there is a funky or "wet dog" smell coming from the dryer while it is in use or when I first open the door and on the clothes (we don't even own a dog). Not every time and it doesn't seem to matter what type of load it is. All of my loads always come out of the matching washer smelling sweet and clean and unbelievably fresh. But then something happens to them in the dryer... sometimes. FYI I had my dryer vents cleaned about 6 months ago and purchased a new dryer hose (before purchasing this set) and never had this smell problem with my older dryer. The hose is not constricted, crushed or curled in anyway. It has just two turns as shown in the diagram of correct installation. Is it possible that when it was installed the hose was inserted incorrectly into the back of the dryer? Is the hose supposed to go in or go around the collar of the opening on the back of the dryer? I do not want to change it from the way Best Buy installed it without asking first, but thought this could potentially be contributing to the problem (?)

- Answer Usually, the "smell" comes from using the steam option. Here in the Texas, all of my friends NEVER use that thing unless they have to. It just gets "clammy" too easily. Once the smell is there, it seems hard to get rid of. Might hit Google and see if others have ideas on how to get rid of the smell.

Questioncan the door open from the left or the right?Can the door be changed to open from left to right or right to left?

- Answer Yes, it can. I wanted to change ours because we have the washer on the right of the dryer and I wanted the door to open so that it would be easy to move the clothes into the dryer directly from the washer. I changed my door so that the hinges are now on the left side, when they were originally on the right. The directions on how to do it are in the manual. It took me about 10 minutes and I didn't know what I was doing...just read the directions and got it swapped over
