- Answer The LG Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Streaming Services, Model # BP175 comes with an included AC/DC Adapter, Model # WA-12M12FU. Anny issues about the unit freezing up when turned on would have been resolved by our Customer Support Center when the issue was reported. Regrettably, we do not have access to service histories and cannot comment on those issues...^IFV

- Answer The Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Streaming Services, Model # BP175 has an HDMI® Out for connecting to the HDMI In on a TV. If the cords that you have for your old Sony DVD Player are HDMI cords, you can use them to connect the BP175 to your TV. The BP175 also has an Optical Digital Audio In that only handles audio that can also be connected to a TV's Optical Digital Audio Out but you would still need an HDMI cable for the video. HDMI ports handle both video and audio< this player also has Vudu, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Pandora and Napster as preloaded apps. Unfortunately, the Hulu app will not work since Hulu ended their support for their app on this device...^IFV

- Answer This particular blu ray does not have wireless built in. That's why it was lower in price. You will have to get a network cable and connect it to your modem. I you need to if you just use it as a player . I don't have mine hooked up and it works fine.
