QuestionI bought this multi-function microwave and I can't use it because I can't see the selections. The microwave is useless except for the dial that selects the time. What a stupid design! Is there a fix for that?

- Answer As an Over-the-range Microwave, the LG - 1.7 Cu. Ft. Convection Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking - Black stainless steel, Model # LSMC3089BD has 2 grease filters underneath the unit that are designed to catch any airborne grease from the cooktop surface below it that can be removed and soaked in hot water and a mild detergent for cleaning. The unit also has a charcoal filter that needs to be replaced every 6 to 12 months that captures food smells from the cooktop. The charcoal filter is located behing the vent grille at the top of the unit...^IFV

- Answer For exterior surfaces and control panel: Use a soft cloth sprayed with glass cleaner. Apply the glass cleaner to the soft cloth; do not spray directly on the oven. We do not recommend attempting to remove the dial for cleaning. ^CP

As an Over-the-Range unit, this microwave is designed to be installed between the upper kitchen cabinets that have a minimum cabinet opening width of 30" and a 30" minimum clearance from the bottom of the cabinet to the cooking surface or countertop after installation...^IFV

QuestionHow much time does it take to pre-heat the LSMC3086ST model using convection mode to a specific temperature (i.e. 375F degrees)?

- Answer I used my LG convection oven at 375 degrees to cook a Turkey pot pie and it took less than five minutes to preheat. The crust was perfect as was the inside of the pie. Perfectly cooked.

The minimal allowable distance between cabinets is 30" and the minimal allowable distance from the surface of the cooking surface of an oven to the bottom of the cabinet is also 30".
