I wouldn't recommend trying it unless you have a lot of CDs to use - the unit I got would work until about halfway through and then just stop for no reason.

Yes, this drive works fast and you can definite burn a slideshow in 15 minutes or less.

Hi Bev, I expect that it would but it would depend on the file size. If the file size is larger than what the DVD can accommodate then the file will not be written to the disk. If it is smaller then I expect that it would be. Hope this is helpful.
