- Answer The only difference between this LG Ultra-Slim Portable DVD Burner & Drive with M-DISC™ Support, Model # SP80NB60 other than features and if you had an internal DVD drive in your computer is just that this is external & the other is internal so it will work the same way. Dpending on which Windows operating system you have, you will have to change the boot order or boot sequence in your BIOS for bootable media in the USB port. Most computers use the F12 Key to access the Boot Menu...^IFV

- Answer No, the software does not completely install on Windows 10. It can play an audio CD, and if you download software separately it can play a dvd. However, all capabilities of the drive are not available because the software does not install via the CD provided (installation fails to complete). LG says an update should be available sometime in October 2015.

- Answer It uses power from the USB port. No external power cord is needed, nor does the device have an option for external power. Only connection on device is mini-USB.

- Answer If you have windows 10, I do know you have to download a media player. I did not know this either, I was informed win10 doesn't come with a installed media player. So download one and you should be good to go on those dvds!
