If you have windows 10, I do know you have to download a media player. I did not know this either, I was informed win10 doesn't come with a installed media player. So download one and you should be good to go on those dvds!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to play both CDs and DVDs using this device. May I ask: what software are you using to watch DVDs on your computer?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've burned then run DVD's for installing software with no problem, have not tried a commercial DVD as yet - but a few thoughts: * There are different encoding formats based on geography - USA, Europe, Asia, etc. so if the DVD was created for a different locale, it's not readable on a USA drive * There's regular DVD and various Bluetooth formats. I wasn't interested in Bluetooth, so I'm not sure which if any Bluetooth formats are supported by this device. * DVD's can become damaged & unreadable - I would expect you'd see evidence of physical damage; you might try your DVD on a regular player & see if it works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to read any CD/DVD files, as well as play music/movieDVDs. I made backup copies of program CDs with it. No problem. Check the properties of the drive. Maybe there is a setting that needs to be changed. Right the drive letter and choose Properties at the bottom of the list. Check the Properties tabs for the proper settings.
