Inexpensive, fast, reliable, takes little space, and very light. Just plug the USB cable, it gets immediately recognized by Windows 10. Finally, it does not need a separate power cable, since it pulls power from the USB connection.

This item works great. The sound is good, it's very light weight and is easy to transport and carry around with you.

I bought this unit to use with my new 12" MacBook that did not come with a built in CD/DVD drive, which was fine with me since I opted for its small size over a built in drive that is not used very much any more. With the advent of video options like Hulu and NetFlix, popping in a video disc is a moot point now. However, there are times that I need to access info or documents from a CD. So this External Drive is a useful product for those rare times that I need it.

While cleaning my garage I ran across three boxes of old cd's (roughly 400). I decided they were worth the time to upload them to my music library; ...only to find that my old external DVD/CD RW driver was no longer supported by windows 7. I decided to give this product a chance - the price was great; plug & play on mac & pc. I no longer have much use for a disc r/w; but it fits nicely in my backpack; out of the way until the next happenstance. It takes up very little space; about as thin as my ipad. Anyway the project went great & I'm very happy with the purchase; and the new/old music!

Great additional DVD/CD drive if your internal drive isn't functioning properly. My internal drive could read DVD/CDs but couldn't burn DVD/CDs. With the external drive, I can burn without any problems. It was compatible with my DVD/CD burning software already installed on my Toshiba laptop.

With an All-In-One HP Desktop computer and it's multiple USB device interfaces, being able to use a reliable, fast, small footprint and conveniently designed DVD unit was important. The ability to stash this device underneath the HP All-in-One unit while providing quick and easy connection capability is a welcome addition to the equipment I use for this computer. And, it's price point is well within accepted spending limits.

Does the job and didn't cost an arm and a leg! I was able to download and install my printer CD:)

I needed a DVD writer so I could back up all my DVD movies in my music off the CDs it worked great

I purchased this with my laptop that had no optical drive. I was concerned about it only being USB 2.0 but it works fine. And the low cost made it a bargain. There are not many times you need an optical drive these days but I always like to had the DVD version of a product so I can easily re-install if needed. That's just me.

It does what is suppose to do. I had no trouble connecting to my MAC

I bought this during a sale for $30, it was for my windows 10 laptop. After a a got free video playing software from videolan.com it's been working great! Great buy for the money.

It serves the purpose that I bought it for would have liked it to fit multiple disk.

This drive is nice and light weight with only the USB connection required. It seems they are quite selective about which media will or will not work.

This product is very lite and easy to use. It fits anywhere in almost anything.

A Best Buy employee recommended this drive. Said it is the one he has. It works just fine for the occasional use I give it. And since it didn't cost much, I agree it is a "Best Buy".
