I used it with windows 10. I also tried to use it with an older macbook and had no problems. the problems is what operating system for mac you use.

There is software but I didn't need to use it as my computer recognized it and downloaded it automatically. You can probably download directly from the LG website too. If you have a newer computer then it will most likely recognize the device and do the auto download too. Connects to your computer with USB port. It also has TV connectivity.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should say on the box if it is mac or apple compatible. No problems with windows 10. Your computer probably already has the software in it. This drive is to be used to install any program or game or movie that is on CD or DVD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure about Windows 10 compatibility (the drive comes with some included Windows software), but it worked out of the box and without installing drivers on my 2010 MacBook and 2012 Mac Mini.
