The activate later is the real outright price if you just want to swap out the sim on your old phone and put it into the new phone. Unless you want to add another line to your existing service as a BYOD (bring your own device) with one of Best Buys carriers in store or online, you cannot get the activate now discount. FYI, Best Buy makes money if they activate it for you so hence the discount for “activate today”.
