- Answer it is a plastic film neither hard vinyl or glass. I would guess 1.5 Mil thick plastic.

- Answer Due to the case being water PROOF not resistant... it makes sound difficult to travel through the case smoothly. I use earphones to fix this issue. You can actually submerge your phone in this case and use it. Which is why the instructions in the case box tell you to test the case underwater. :)
