• We did when we went we were on vaca. No prob with our phone, but my mom did the same and it got water in her phone so make sure yours dont leak.

• I wouldn't use it underwater but read the directions carefully. They say to test it before submerging it to verify the seal is in tact. I believe it's good up to 5 or 6 feet but I use it for incidental water protection, not using it under water. I would recommend getting an underwater camera (they aren't too expensive).
