“Does this bulb connect to a 5G network? Most are limited to 2.4G. Thanks”

This question is for: LIFX - 1100-Lumen, 11W Dimmable A19 LED Light Bulb, 75W Equivalent - Multicolor

No. You have to configure it in 2.4. Then you can switch back to your 5G and control them. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

No. They only connect to a 2.4Ghz band. After initial setup, you can use a 5Ghz band to control it, though.

Our lights only work with 2.4ghz.

No this bulb doesn't connect to a 5G network. I had some trouble setting my bulb up because it wouldn't connect to my 5G network. Luckily, though my router creates two networks, one with 2.4G and one with 5G, so I was able to connect the bulb with the 2.4G network.
