“I have landscaping lights in the front of my house that point straight up. Some lights have been ok in the rain and others haven't Will these be ok to use outside if it rains or a sprinkler splashes them? If water gets inside does it void the warranty?”

According to the packaging, they are approved for outdoor use. I have mine in outdoor spotlights on the sofets and have had no issues with them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Lifx site says "No direct exposure to water but can be used outdoors or in the bathroom." To mean that means pointing them up in the rain or with a sprinkler would be a bad idea. I believe they are rated for high moisture areas but not getting directly wet so lights pointing down on a back porch ceiling outside would probably be fine but an exposed light that can get rain or sprinklers on it will likely have issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The BR30 version is suitable for outdoor use, it comes with a rubber sleeve to go over the bulbs connector and the socket. They are designed for outdoor use, so they should be OK with water. It will not void the warranty.

They can be in moist environments, like bathroom light fixtures or outside fixtures that protect the bulb from rain and direct moisture. Go www.lifx.com and find the light, there’s a Q&A that says the same thing basically. I’m quite sure being directly exposed to rain would void warranty as they are not waterproof and your description would be outside of it’s designed use.
