• It doesn't really matter. The modem you get should be compatible with your internet service provider, which is the most important issue. I am using a Netgear modem with no issues between it and my Linksys router.

• Hi, MrRick. Any cable modems will work on our routers as long as it supports Ethernet connection. For better recommendations, please get in touch with your Internet Service Provider.
