“I just setup Linksys - AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 5 Router from Linksys app. It only asked me for a Wifi name/password (don't know it is for 2.4 or 5G). After setup, I only see one band. I don't see the 5G band. Is it a problem with the router? Please help”

Hi, dhwong48. The Linksys AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 5 (MR8300) is a mesh router. It means that the 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFi bands are bonded in one WiFi name. You have an option to separate the bands but this will defeat the Mesh technology. Feel free to email [email protected] with other concerns.

You have to go in to set up and name each band accordingly so it transmits with a band name. My security cameras only transmit on 2.4 so I was able to find that specific frequency by specifically naming it...
