All the nodes are exactly the same. All have 3 Ethernet ports and one incoming internet port. The master is the one you choose to plug into the modem.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Each node is an actual router, all 3 nodes are identical. The one you connect to your modem via Internet port becomes a Main Node. The other 2 become child nodes and they can communicate with the main node and with each other either wirelessly or connected via Ethernet ports.
