“Waterproofing the Camera Can't find any manufactured products that would fit this camera to make it waterproof ,rather than water resistant, mostly because the antenna is on the side rather than the back as with most cameras this style. Neither can I find a waterproof camera I can purchase that I could pair with this LW2731 system. Anyone know a design of ant enclosure (simple) that could be built to house the camera on a tree? Anyone have any suggestions other than mounting the camer under the roof overhang which would put the unit too far from what I want to monitor. Thank you.”

Hi Isabel, We do not sell any specific housings for this model or any other cameras that can be paired to the monitor. Some customers have built custom enclosures by cutting down larger plastic soda bottles or other larger plastic bottles or pails, from modified wooden bird houses (test your reception through any thicker surface at the install location before permanently mounting the camera), and from other materials they have found in home improvement stores. We would not recommend a metal enclosure, as it would block reception. Also, any housing you put the camera into can greatly reduce or block the effectiveness of the 2-way audio if it blocks the speaker and mic on the camera. If you plan to mount the camera on a tree, the camera does require constant power so a long extension cord would also likely be needed. Thanks, Lorex
