“Does the iPad power the keyboard or does the keyboard need to be charged periodically?”

the ipad charges the key board, no extra cable to charge

Its not bluetooth keyboard. It needs to be connected to work with ipad. Cannot be charged.

The iPad powers the keyboard. There is no type of charging involed. The keyboard doesn't work unless it is connected to the iPad.

The keyboard is powered by the iPad. There is no batteries needed or charging of any kind for the keyboard. Just connect the keyboard to the iPad and your set! It’s a must buy!
