• No, it is infrared which means you need to point the remote fairly straight toward the device you want to operate. There are other more expensive remotes that use radio waves.

• Unfortunately no, the Harmony 665 uses infrared and needs a direct line of sight to the device to control it. If you would like to control devices behind cabinet doors, you'll need to look at our Harmony remotes that have Hubs, such as the Companion or 950.
