Hello Danny, you will not have to do any additional programming. Once the IR is connected to your TV. It will serve as an extender to allow for more IR coverage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't think so. The IR sensor is just passing the signal. I have a fios box out of site and just attached a generic IR sensor to it with no issues.
