Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to choose which device the volume will control. In my system, I have the channel change linked to my CableOne box, volume to my receiver through which all devices connect. The only thing the Harmony 700 does with the TV is set the input to HDMI1, the connection that comes from the receiver. The receiver also is commanded to use the HDMI input coming from the CableOne box.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must connect back to your computer and edit the "watch TV" activity. You will need to follow the setup process looking for the question that asks which component to use to adjust the volume. From your question it appears that you need to select the TV to do this, not the cable box. If you have it plugged into an AV receiver for surround sound (which seems less likely), you would select the receiver to change the volume. Once you complete the editing process, sync your remote and test it out. It should work as expected.
