• Yes, it has backlit keys (in addition to the illuminated touchscreen) ...and, you can adjust the brightness of both.

• It is back lit. Most of the buttons light up except for the action buttons on top.

• Most of the essential keys are backlit. Like the volume, channel, guide, etc. there are some such as the small colored buttons and I think the buttons towards the bottom that control play, pause, etc. are not backlit.
