A:AnswerThe Harmony suite of remotes, that use the Harmony hub, should be able to control all of the devices you mentioned. I use the Harmony Ultimate and it controls my Bose Companion II speakers and LG TV and Comcast/Xfinity receiver and my Amazon FireTV. Shoot, I even control a TV and second FireTV in a nearby room with the same remote by having the remote control the TV using it's built-in IR emitter and still using the Hub's bluetooth range to control the 2nd fireTV.
A:AnswerWell, it depends. How will you use IR extender? If you wire it outside the closet so it can reach HDTV IR receiver, no problem. If you keep it all in the closet and have no other IR remote outside of the closet, no. In our case, we have a Harmony Touch, so it would work. It's a matter of priorities and how you are willing to wire it.
