A:Answer Well, it depends. How will you use IR extender? If you wire it outside the closet so it can reach HDTV IR receiver, no problem. If you keep it all in the closet and have no other IR remote outside of the closet, no. In our case, we have a Harmony Touch, so it would work. It's a matter of priorities and how you are willing to wire it.
