“Has anyone got this remote to work successfully with a Cox Harmony XG1-A (Arris cable box) ? The XG1-A has an RF remote control but I am not sure if the XG1-A set top box can also receive IR commands”

This remote does ir and rf. It comes with 2 rf sensors that you set in front of your rf device. The hub does all the rf controlling and the remote does all the ir. So as long as you get the bundle with the hub then the answer is yes. If you only get the remote then the answer is no. Hope this helps.
