Q: Questionjust bought the z625 and wanted to add more speakers, is that possible? if so what ones are recommended and what connector cables are needed?

• A:Answer Hello Daisysmom. The Z625 is only rated for the subwoofer and 2 satellite speakers. There are only the 2 outputs from the subwoofer to connect 2 speakers. While it is possible to use a splitter and add other non-powered speakers via the left speaker output, it is not recommended as it could blow the amplifier due to mismatched impedance.

• A:Answer As far as I can tell, the only difference is the types of input. The Z625 adds an optical input, whereas the Z623 only has 3.5 mm & RCA inputs. All other specs seem to be the same, or close enough to not make a noticeable difference in user experience. Tested in the store, I couldn't really tell a difference in sound. Bought the Z625 because the Z623 was out of stock. Had them for about a month now and I love them. Great tone, great volume - used for PC gaming and music listening while working.

I am not sure I understand your question completely, but I think you're trying to run 2 sets of speakers by plugging one into the computer, and the 2nd one into the Aux output of the first speaker. This will not work because once you plug something into the Aux port on the speaker, it will then mute that speaker and route all of the audio to the 2nd speaker.
