• A:Answer The best I can tell you is that nothing lasts forever. By the way you phrased your question, I'm guessing you think that these are wireless speakers which run on batteries. They are not. They require speaker wires which are provided.

Q: QuestionHow does the control console with this system differ from the Z906 control console?

• A:Answer Hi, the Z906 system is the same as the Logitech 5.1 500W Speaker System. The manufacture Model 980-00467 listed on Best Buy website matches the Z906 model listed on Logitech's website. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Q: QuestionFrom what I just received, it seems that some records may need to be updated. The control console that just came (with my speakers) measures 8.75"W x 2.75"D x 2.5"H. It tapers towards the back, and that measures 7.25"W x 2"H. Thank you, and be safe.

The system that is sold at Best Buy is a variation of the one listed on Logitech's website---exclusive to Best Buy---which is the Z906 and is $100 more than this one you got on Best Buy. The console for the Z906 and this one from Best Buy is different.
