“What are the power requirements for the cameras. Are the cameras plugged into a standard 115 volt circuit or are they battery operated. If they are battery operated how many batteries and how long of a battery life is estimated for continuous operation. ALSO, is the night vision mode activated by motion or do they record constantly. Hello, Thanks for your interest in our products. The high-definition wireless cameras included with this system must be plugged into a standard electrical outlet. The "wireless" aspect refers to the video signal, as there are no video cables required to get 720p HD video. Unfortunately, these cameras do not have the option to be powered by batteries. With regards to your night vision question, the cameras switch to night vision mode automatically when the environment becomes too dark for optimal image detail. You can use your DVR to choose how the cameras record video: you can have them record all the time, only when motion is detected, or you can set scheduled times during which the cameras will record motion or during which the cameras will record constantly.
