QuestionWhat are the power requirements for the cameras.Are the cameras plugged into a standard 115 volt circuit or are they battery operated. If they are battery operated how many batteries and how long of a battery life is estimated for continuous operation. ALSO, is the night vision mode activated by motion or do they record constantly. Thanks

- Answer Hello, Thanks for your interest in our products. The high-definition wireless cameras included with this system must be plugged into a standard electrical outlet. The "wireless" aspect refers to the video signal, as there are no video cables required to get 720p HD video. Unfortunately, these cameras do not have the option to be powered by batteries. With regards to your night vision question, the cameras switch to night vision mode automatically when the environment becomes too dark for optimal image detail. You can use your DVR to choose how the cameras record video: you can have them record all the time, only when motion is detected, or you can set scheduled times during which the cameras will record motion or during which the cameras will record constantly. QuestionIs internet required to use wireless cameras and receiver for recording onlyWe want to use the system for a property that has no internet connection. We want to be able to record and then view recording from receiver when we are on site.

- Answer Hello, No, the internet is only needed if you wanted to view the system from your phone or computer when you are not at the installed location - however, the system will continue to record normally without an internet connection. You can view the video that was recorded while you were not there, when you are onsite with a standard PC monitor connected onto the DVR unit. Thanks, Lorex

QuestionCan these cameras be set to record motion only mode?

- Answer In theory it can be done however it seems to sometimes take quite a bit of motion to set the detector off. Continuous recording is what I use and get roughly 5 weeks of storage with all 4 cameras recording 24X7

- Answer Hello, This is a 4-channel system, which means it can only connect to the 4 included cameras. All of Lorex's high-definition wireless offerings have a maximum of 4 channels. Kind regards, Lorex

- Answer The wireless can transmit up to 165 ft. indoors and 450 ft outdoors. The one TB hard drive can store up to 900 hours.

QuestionRecording to DVR and/or PCThe cameras will record to proprietary dvr system, but can they be set differently? as one or two for motion only and the others continuously? Is it possible to hook-up the dvr to a pc, to get network Wi-Fi( in addition to app or not), or can a 4 camera wireless set be recorded directly to a pc? Last, would it possible to have viewing only on an android tablet - does it have to be thru app, or could it set obtained using the my pc network Wi-Fi?

- Answer Hello, Yes, you can configure each recording channel to record differently, in motion or continuous mode, so each camera can custom record. The DVR must be hardwired with an ethernet cable to a router, it cannot be directly connected into a PC. The cameras are intended to transmit wireless video data to their receivers, which are plugged into separate channels on the DVR. The cameras cannot transmit video directly to a PC. The cameras can be viewed on the Android app via the DVR connection (cameras transmit to the DVR, DVR plugged into a router/modem to high spe3ed internet), but cannot be viewed on an Android device outside of the App, which also relies on a high speed internet connection. - Answer Hello, The cameras will not be permanently damaged by the cold; the cameras may not transmit video as seamlessly in extreme cold, but if the cameras are installed in a sheltered location in a place where they can get some ambient heat (from your home for example), then they will work at temperatures lower than 14°F.
