A:AnswerThis is a PoE camera system and you will need Ethernet cables. They come with the package but if you have pre wired then you would need to add connectors on ends of cable.
A:AnswerYou can buy your own cable and the crimping tool to make a longer run than the 100’ cables provided. I suggest using a powered switch for any runs over 150-200’. If you have more than 1 camera to run over 150’ you can run them into a 4-8 port powered switch and then run only 1 line to the dvr. The cameras need that extra boost of power to run correctly and keep your picture clear.
A:AnswerI think you mean BNC cables. The difference is that POE means power over Ethernet so you don’t need to worry about putting the cameras near an outlet. Also the clarity is much much better with POE.
A:AnswerThank you for your question about this product. The microphone will pick up sound from the general and close vicinity to the camera. It might not pick up sound from a long distance away depending on the distance.
