• A:Answer Yes but only with an outside light source. Night time IR distance and clarity is very good with this system

Q: QuestionNot really a question since I already reached out to Lorex and received an answer. Lorex has their security equipment manufactured in China. Probably not the best place to have security equipment manufactured. I will be choosing a different vendor.

Q: QuestionI recently upgraded from an older system (lorex) to this model. I saw It mentioned night time color I was wondering if this was a setting I have to adjust or is it automatic? Also is the lorex home app only available to one person at a time?

• A:Answer I’m not getting much night time color I believe it is just to dark. Lorex home app is available for multiple people, you just have to go to Lorex website and create an account for each person with their own email address then put the home app on each persons phone. Then you get on your phone open your Lorex home app and and select options then select share device and you will type in the other email addresses you created the other people’s accounts under

Q: QuestionWhat cables are included and how long Do they come?

• A:Answer There are BNC cables included but they are only 60 FT - depending on where the cameras are going to be set up to the length you will need. My farthest camera required a cable roughly 250 ft this will give some extra at the receiver but this way the cable is not being stressed.

• A:Answer It's about as loud as a computer. I have it enclosed in a cabinet and only really hear it when the cabinet is open. Not too loud.

• A:Answer If you bought what I did, a set that comes with four cameras, then yes. Each camera in the set comes with a connection on the four-port power brick. That brick can only power four cameras. Since the DVR can handle eight (8) cameras, then you need to buy the cameras, cabling and power for each new one. I saw you can buy those power supplies for individual cameras or as another set of four.
