“Will the cameras power come from the wires plugged into the base system? Or would I need to plug the cameras into the base and then plug each camera into a power source?”

No you do not need to plug the power source of each camera to it own 110v outlet. The cables provided with the system let you plug both video and power to one end. The video at the other end will plug into the Base system. A 4 way splitter pigtail plug is provided in the box to plug the power side of the cables into and plug that into the outlet near the base system
