QuestionCan you tell me specifically how this compares to the kit lens of 14-42?

- Answer This is a bright large aperture fixed focal length lens. This lens is wide angle and great for landscape and street photography. The kit lens will allow for zooming between 14-42mm. The 17mm does not zoom, but offers a significantly brighter aperture.

- Answer This is a fixed wide angle lens. This prime lens does not offer zooming but offers a bright f2.8 aperture.
