You can download Audacity free on the internet to record and edit audio but you will have to buy an external CD Burner for production, and connect it with an attachment on the computer
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You would need an external CD drive in order to burn CD's, there hasn't been a disk drive on MacBooks since 2014. Yes to the last two questions, but please be aware there are ONLY 2 Type-C ports on the unit, and an adapter will be necessary for most recording interfaces. I highly recommend a USB-A dock, with multiple inputs. I would almost recommend going with a Mac Mini M1 for what you are looking for, to be honest. It doesn't sound like you need portability.
