“How many Sonace speakers can you use with this amp? I see an 8 speaker option but I can't afford the additional 4 speakers now. I'd like to add those additional speakers in the years to come. Would I need to upgrade the amp?”

I emailed sonance about expanding the MAG 4.1 and they stated the system can be expanded to an 8.2 with the Sonos amp that comes with the MAG 4.1 system.

Please try again later.The 8 speaker configuration that I've seen is online or on the Sonance website uses an Amp from Sonance rather than the Amp from Sonos which is used on the MAG4.1 system. The MAG4.1 system states it's not expand to 8 satellites but it is interesting to me that with Sonance based Amp they clearly state it is expandable to 8 satellites. We'd need Sonance to answer if the satellites between the two systems are designed differently (although they look identical) or if Sonos Amp can't handle the lower impedance or ?
