Q: QuestionNew to video editing software. When you are talking about codecs does that mean I have to down load this codec to edit MPEG4 videos? Also what is the main concept MPEG4 do versus the one that you download with the program?

• A:Answer It is possible to load the .vob files from a DVD, which are the actual video files into Movie Edit Pro as long as these are not copy protected.

• A:Answer Thank you for your interest in Movie Edit Pro 2016. The Movie Edit software includes the basic codecs such as MPEG2, MPEG4 and AVCHD. These codecs will require an online activation but at no additional cost just as the software requires an internet connection to activate and register. There is also the option to activate the Main Concept MPEG4 or MPEG2 codecs and these have a small one time charge, but they are not required to use the software. HVEC for Ultra HD material also may require an additional charge. Best Regards,
