When installed following the instruction book -- the Mantel Mount does not have a reverse push-up feature. Once installed for the maximum height point, it pulls down for lower eye level viewing options and for swiveling side to side. It can then be lifted back up to the original starting position as desired. We leave it in the higher position when viewing across the room at a dining table, and bring it to the lower position for closer viewing at the sofa.
