How far out from the wall is TV on this mount when in the resting (up) position? null

The wall to the back of my TV is 4.5” in the up position

hey Sam, for some reason I have 8” in my head for that up position, seems a bit much but I still have not opened the box and read the instructions but good news they ( best buy ) said they will be here I hope early this Saturday morning to install the mount with the 65” SONY, I can let you know what it is after they getter done, I do believe when pulled out and down it will drop like 26” with the hydraulic cylinders it makes it very comfortable moving it around as in the short videos the have in their add, take it easy, mike ( 2:00am 2/5/2022

Varies by if you measure with TV or not, but go to MantelMount website for dimension's, but it DOES stick out, UNLESS you go with the Flush Mount which they sell on their site.
