- Answer I think it would be better to use the PreOut connected to an external amp, that way you only have to regulate your volume thru the main unit.

- Answer Hello and thank you for your question. Marantz receivers are not designed to be placed outside. The receiver must be installed indoors.

QuestionI am planning to purchase the LG - CineBeam HU70LAB. Can I attach a chromecast to this receiver and watch 4k content on my projector? Also will it support dolby atmos for content streamed through chromecast?

- Answer Yes you can connect a chromecast or any hdmi device. It supports all dolby formats. I watch 4k videos from my pc all the time. The only thing that might hold you back is if your wifi is fast enough to support 4k.

QuestionHow can I hook a subwoofer to separate zone(s)? Do I need a stereo amp for each zone? If I use the preamp outs, can I add additional zones on top of the 2 built-in? I am having a hard time visualizing the setup options for 2, 3, or 4 zones. Thanks

- Answer Hello, the best option is to add HEOS speakers. This will provide a wireless option. The HEOS app allows for control via a smart phone/device and provides up to 32 zones. The wireless DSW-1H subwoofer can be added to individual zones. The Marantz SR5015 has HEOS built-in. - Answer No. Airplay from Apple device is audio only (ref: pg 107-109 in manual). Bluetooth from android is audio only (ref. pg 217 under NOTE).

- Answer Hello, the Marantz SR5015 will be sent firmware updates as they become available. Hardware is not upgradeable at this time. The SR5015 is packed full of features and should carry you into the distant future.

- Answer The Marantz SR5015 has 7 channels of power available. The surround back terminals are assignable to either surround back, Atmos, or zone 2. If wanting to use all 7 channels in your main zone, a 2ch external amplifier can be used for zone 2. Connect external amp to the Zone 2 pre output.

- Answer The Marantz receivers use IR to receive remote commands. Glass doors will work perfectly fine. Solid wood will require a RF system. Universal remotes an be purchased with this feature.

- Answer Hello and thank you for your interest. The Marantz SR5015 will output the same audio and video via HDMI 1 and HDMI monitor out. Please note that the HDMI monitor out is not Zone 2 compatible and will only output the same source as the main HDMI out. If requiring separate source output from HDMI Zone 2 please consider the Marantz SR6015.

QuestionI have crackle and hiss coming out of the left surround channel when the receiver warms up. I’ve ruled out the speaker and speaker wiring as causes and it happens with multiple source inputs. Is there an easy fix or will I need to return this to Best Buy?
