“Hi all, I purchased the Marantz PM7004 which i connected to my NR1711 through front pre out and Power amp in on the 7004. I’ve been looking in the set up (amp assign) to let the NR 1711 know the front speakers go over the 7004. I can’t find the answer.”

Hi Jack, Such a setting is not found in the set-up menu because there is no assigning to do. The pre-outs are active the moment you connect them to an external amplifier. The pre-outs are not assignable.
