That would almost certainly be OK, but it depends on how the output stage of your receiver's power amplifier stage is designed. Most would accommodate the ~6 ohms of these speakers without a problem. I drive them in parallel with a pair of Bose 301's (MLs in one room, Bose in another) with an NAD C 375BEE power amplifier - and it all works and sounds just fine. But if you're concerned, this question should really be put to the receiver manufacturer to get the definitive answer.

Please try again later.They say in the information that although they are rated at 4 ohms nominally, they should be safe for any decent quality amp. or receiver that is rated to handle as low as 8 ohms (but if you're using it to drive two pairs of speakers at once, the speakers would have to be a higher impedance of 8 ohms each. Just don't crank them too loud if the amp. is capable of much higher power than the speakers are rated for. I've found the Martin Motions to be pretty durable other than the cabinitets that can chip.
