I have experienced this and was willing to overlook it. The subpar noise canceling is what killed it for me
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think pairing is difficult. It takes an extra few seconds but I can easily switch between my devices. It would have been nice to pair to at least two devices at once but I've been fine without that. As for the connection strength, they've been fine with all three of my devices. They have yet to drop out or skip with my iPhone 11 Pro Max in the gym (where there are countless other people using wireless headphones/earbuds), while walking downtown in a big city, or when walking on a college campus. They're also fine with my Surface Pro 7 in my office and the field (mainly residential areas). I've used them with my throwaway Android tablet (Amazon Fire HD8 which is Bluetooth 4.1) and they've been fine too though I haven't used them with that tablet outside of my house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Will only pair to one device at a time, and pairing can be a bit of a pita but not to bad. Connecting is rock solid as long as you are not blocking the antenna from the source. If you have BT 5.0, it is really good then because of extra power and distance.
