“I read a review of this model concerning the ice maker dispensing ice cubes that land on the floor and that this model didn't have a deflector attached to the back of the dispenser. So I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem currently.”

minor problem just do few ice cubes at a time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had this problem when we first got ours, especially with the kids getting ice. BUT, it is an easy fix. When you get ice cubes, just make sure you release the lever and WAIT a few seconds before moving the cup in case a couple more cubes fall. You will hear the little door close/seal. Once we got the kids to listen, we haven't had any more trouble.
