Please try again later.I had the same experience after replacing an old dishwasher that would be bone dry when finished, My understanding is that condensation on the tub is normal with newer, energy efficient dishwashers. Rather than drying the dishes by baking them with the heating element, the newer dishwashers take advantage of the fact the tub cools faster than the dishes. This causes the water that is evaporating off the dishes to condense on the walls of the tub. Using a drying aid, which is a surfactant that increases the efficiency of water evaporation, helps significantly. As long as the dishes are dry (I use heated dry and high rinse aid setting) I don't worry about the condensation on the tub, I leave the door open a crack after emptying, and that is sufficient to allow the tub to dry. Indoor humidity in the summer is a factor, though.
