Q: QuestionOperating controlsWith the controls on top of door, how do you get to them to turn on the dishwasher? Do you select your options first then close the door? Or do you have to install the unit with the door not under the counter?

• A:Answer Dear Customer, After the dishes have been loaded and the detergent added, select the cycle and option settings. Close the dishwasher door then select the start/resume button. There should be enough room between the bottom of the countertop and the top of the dishwasher to start the dishwasher. We appreciate your interest in Maytag appliances! Thank you.
