QuestionIs the hand wash cycle just another name for gentle cycle?

- Answer Hi Sunnybrook, thank you for you inquiry. For the Hand Wash Cycle, you would use this cycle to wash lightly soiled items indicating “Machine Washable Silks” or “Gentle” cycle on the care label. Place small items in mesh garment bags before washing. This cycle uses a higher, preset water level. We hope this helps!

QuestionDoes this machine "unlevel" easily? I am giving up a Whirlpool Cabrio that constantly would do that... drives ya nuts!!

- Answer You cannot make changes once you have pressed start. Yes you can add as long as the lid is not locked. It usually locks during the spin cycles. There is an indicator showing when it is locked.

- Answer The 10 year warranty from Maytag only covers one part which they just ship to you, but if you get Geek Squad protection they will fix anything that breaks and they come out to work on it.

- Answer Very very long time on normal cycle. Sometimes over an hour. Can't use too much water, doesn't clean properly. Do not buy this machine!

QuestionMy Daughter just told me that with the impeller (no agitator) washer you have to load the clothes around the sides and not cover the middle. Is that rue with this washer?

- Answer Yes, it is necessary to balance your clothing. Not that it matters. When I wash sheets one of them is always spread completely over the top at the end of the wash. I wonder how clean it really is.

- Answer Hi Mule, We suggest a regular, monthly cleaning cycle be run on all washers. You may need to run a few extra to get the machine back in good shape. As a Best Practice, we suggest you clean your washer every 30 wash cycles with affresh washing machine cleaner. Affresh also has a machine cleaning wipe to keep the exterior looking sharp.

- Answer Hi, thanks for the inquiry. On model mvwx655dw , when the start/pause button is pressed the cycle will remains paused with the lid open for 10 minutes, the washer will pump out the water. - Answer None of the settings supply a decent level of water. This washing machine is absolutely pathetic. The deepest setting puts about 2 inches of water in the wash basin, filling maybe 3-5% of its capacity.

- Answer I can honestly and calmly say, "Trash this washer and buy a different brand. Expect the spin cycle to leave water soaked clothes, the fabric softener tray to not dispense, water sensor to only work on sheets/bulky 75% of the time, and require the rinse & spin to be used three times per sheets/bulky load, Handwash cycle doesn't even cover base of tub. And with all other selections water doesn't even cover clothes. (The 10yrs warranty.....if you can stand to own it for 10years. LOL) Honestly, get another washer."

QuestionI want a washer that fills up with water and has a agitator. Our washer now is fairly new and doesn’t add enough water to clear the clothes well. Seems to barely add water and doesn’t have a agitator. It’s a top loader. We still want s top loader. Thanks

- Answer Mark, so this washer was purchased for my daughter first day she tried it exactly what you just described was the issue with her wash machine. Because we did not get an extended warranty with Best buy. Maytag does offer the 10 year warranty. Call up Maytag they came to her house replaced two boards the gentleman explain to her how to use the washer and has been working since a full fill up of water and works perfectly. Make sure when you call Maytag and have them come out have your receipt ready so it is covered under the manufacturer warranty.
