• Yes but you can access it by pushing the pause button which unlocks it so you can add more items, then you close the lid push the pause button again and it will re-lock and sense the adjustment and resume washing.

• Yes the lid locks but you can press the "pause" button and it will stop so you can add more laundry.

• Yes, I think they all do now. But you can hit pause if you need to add something.
