Do the wheels lock? Does it need assembly null

Yes there are hand brakes already installed all you have to do is press down - documented in instructions.

The Walker locks with no problem thank you very much

Some assembly is required, the brakes do lock yes. To lock the brakes push the brake handles down until they're in the locked position.
