• This is a receiver, so you can connect it to a device such as a home stereo that is not equipped with Bluetooth, to play music from a BT transmitting device such as your phone. It has headphone jack connection and the red/white AV connection.

• Yes. After connecting my phone via Bluetooth to the device I plug it into my home stereo input and play music that’s on my phone through the stereo. I just leave it plugged in all the time.
