Yes it is. Replace the back of the headset that comes with the original product with this, Cradles your head better and alleviates the strain on your neck by balancing the weight. Supposed to give your game extended playtime. Not much since it won't charge fully. We purchased one for 2 Meta units and both are defective.

Yes.  Extra battery is built into back of head strap

This is the elite strap with an extra battery built into it.

You plug the white plug on the left of the headset and through that the strap/battery pack fee extra power into the Quest 2.  After you've plugged it into the Quest 2 you can charge the battery pack & Quest 2 using the charging port on the back bottom of the battery pack/strap.

It is the meta quest 2 extended battery that takes the place of the headband. It is much more comfortable too.
