You will need to run a remote wire in addition to the line output converter. You can access your vehicles fuse panel and splice into any circuit that is switched on with the ignition. I would recommend using a t splice and if capable solder your connection.

I would look by where your fuses are and find a wire that turns on and off with the ignition and attach your remote wire there. You can look up the wiring diagram of your vehicle online to see which one to use or you can always use a multimeter. Usually it's a pink wire. I connected mine by the driver side kick panel of my truck
